We were sitting at church a few weeks ago and Ephesians 2:10 flashed on the screen. Here's what it says:

My mind started wandering trying to figure out what good works I was doing. I always think of the people who feed the poor, take care of seniors, and raise foster children. Those are all wonderful things to do and /i give props to anyone doing that.
I had to fix my thinking a little bit. Good things doesn't necessarily mean big. Raising our children while teaching them about God is a good thing. Feeding your family good food is a good thing. Teaching your children the skills they will need when they leave your home is a good thing. Working hard to provide for your family is a good thing.
Don't get down on yourself because you are comparing your good works to what you see other people are doing. Sit down and make a list of all of the good works that you already are doing. Then think of one more good work that you would like to add to the list.
You are doing a great job!
