Hey homeschool mom! Yep. I'm talking to you. Yep you. Hey stop what you're doing and listen for a minute. Actually, not just for a minute. Take as long as you need.

Do you need a break? Then take it. I'm giving you permission to take a break. It's okay.

It's okay to let the kids watch tv and play video games (gasp!). Yes. I said it. Let them be. You don't have to have planned activities every day. You can let them be so you can just be.

I think us moms, especially us homeschool moms, think that we have to have our kids doing.

Doing what? Doing anything "educational". Our kids need to learn that it's important to rest and not have anything planned.

That means you, homeschool mom, can take a break. Lay down. Take a nap. Watch a movie. Whatever it is that you like to do to relax, do it. Don't plan. Don't research curriculum. You and your mind need a break.

Get refreshed.

There will be time to do all that you need to do. You will not be able to teach your children to the best of your ability, if you are not at your best.

So...do you need a break?  Take it!
