The Pencil Grip, Inc.'s Thin Stix Creativity Pack Review

November 6, 2017

We were able to review the Thin Stix 6pk of Classic Colors earlier this year. We loved this product so much that I knew we just had to try for the Thin Stix Creativity Pack by The Pencil Grip, Inc.

How many of you have children who love to do art? (Raises hand) Our 8 year old loves to draw, color, paint, cut, glue, you name it.

How many of you like the preparation of art? (drops hand REALLY fast). You know what I mean. Your precious little one comes to you with puppy dog eyes asking to be able to paint. You have 2 choices. 1 - Say No or 2 - Say Yes, my precious. I would love to spend the next 30 minutes preparing everything for you so that you can spend 3 minutes creating something. Then I would love to spend the next hour cleaning up everything once your done.

Okay, okay. It's not that bad, but you get my drift, right?

Thin Stix Creativity Pack fixes all of that. They are paint in a tube that work like markers. It hard to explain, but wonderful to use.

Here is what they look like right out of the box. Look at those bright colors! This pack has neon and metallic colors. There are 24 colors in all.

I put them into a small container so that they would stay all together. I love containers!

Here is another perk for Thin Stix. When you drop the container, it is an easy clean-up. No mess! Love it!

Here is a project that we made using these Thin Stix.

Isn't it just adorable?

Just in time for the Fall season.

Here's how we made it.

* Materials Needed:

  1 piece of particle board

1 package of Thin Stix Creativity Pack

  1 pencil

  1 printout of a pumpkin

  1 scissors

1 hot glue gun with glue sticks

  1 twine

Step 1:

Trace the pumpkin onto the particle board. I did this with a pencil. I'm sorry, I forgot to take a picture of this step for you.

Step 2:

Using the Thin Stix, paint the pumpkin. He used dark green for the stem, neon green for the vine, and neon orange for the pumpkin.

Didn't it turn out great?

I can't believe how well the Thin Stix worked on the wood.

I thought that it would have soaked up the paint and it wouldn't have come out as nice.

I love it! We're not done, though.

Step 3:

Using the hot glue gun, glue the twine around the edge of the pumpkin. I taught him how to use the hot glue gun safely.

He was so excited!

Step 4:

Using the hot glue gun, scissors, and twine, glue the "stripes" onto the pumpkin.

I don't know what they're called, but you know what I mean, right?

Isn't it just cute? I just love it! It didn't take long, either. There was hardly any preparation. We just had to heat up the hot glue gun and we were off. There was no waiting for the paint to dry.

Look at what else we made. After we were done with the pumpkin, our son said, "Hey, why don't we make a Christmas tree?" Well, why not? The colors are great!

We just love Thin Stix Creativity Pack by The Pencil Grip, Inc.!

They are simply wonderful!
