Being from Arizona, I have seen my fair share of cacti (are you impressed that I used the correct plural form of cactus?) I'm they are everywhere around here. I have never been a huge fan of having cacti in my own yard, but they are pretty cool to look at. Some of the saguaro cacti are pretty big. They also live for a very long time.

Have you ever wondered how a saguaro grows from such a tiny seed to such a big cactus? This book talks all about the process.

As your child listens to Grandma read this great book, have them draw pictures of what they see. This will be a great way to help them understand the process.
