Helping a child to understand how numbers work can be an abstract thing sometimes, especially when you have a kinesthetic (hands-on) learner. That's when I came up with "walking a number line".

The number line is a great tool to use with children to help them use numbers. I decided to make our number line really big and put it on the floor.

Click on the picture below to print yours out, too! Don't forget to laminate it because, after all, it will be on the floor and they will be using their feet to move the numbers.
