This is the season of giving. There is a toy drive at Franklin's school and he can't decide which of his toys to give up. All of his toys are important to him.

Also, in the book, Franklin decides to write his Great Aunt Harriet a special poem. Handmade gifts are wonderful, especially when a child puts their heart into it.
Why not have your child think of someone that they really love. Help them brainstorm what special gift they could give to that special loved one. Is your child good at writing, like Franklin? Help them write a poem. Can they bake cookies? Can they draw a picture or mold clay?
