Happy New Years! Can you believe that 2019 is this week? The days seem long, but the year is short. Christmas is over and we are ready to start a new year with it's own promises and conflicts. Are you ready?

As with most people, this time of the year always brings me into a sense of reflection and remembrance. I think about what we did, what we didn't do, what went well, what didn't go well, what I want to continue doing, and what needs to go away.

I am one that doesn't really like change. I don't like conflicts and I'm not too keen on surprises. I wish that everything would just stay the same. The problem with that is, honestly, it gets kind of boring. Change is inevitable. Our boys are a year older than last year. They are growing and changing every day. If I don't change with them, I wouldn't be doing my job as their parent or teacher.

For the next few weeks I'll be reviewing what we did this year and where I need to take them this upcoming year. We will change our routine and how things run. Discipline and perseverance have to play a larger part on my part as well as with the boys. When I nail down a new system, I will happily share with you all.

I would love to hear what you all do to keep your kiddos going with their schooling. Email me at info@homeschool4life.org and let me know.
