Sometimes, when we are in the midst of our day to day schooling, we forget to step back and take a look at where we've been and where we are going.

Where We Have Been

I am so thankful that we made that choice 9 years ago. If you haven't read our story, I would urge you to click here. It has been a bumpy ride, but worth it. We have been questioned about our decision. People don't understand why we would choose this life for our family. We have homeschooled in 5 different homes in various spaces. I am so thankful for the time that I have had with our boys. I am so glad that we have been able to live life together.

Where We Are Going

Well, since our oldest started high school last year, we are going all the way. We actually didn't even think twice about sending our oldest to a public school. He has never really wanted to go. He sees the good things about homeschooling and wants to continue. When both boys were little, I was concerned about how we were going to handle high school. Now that it's here, it seemed like a smooth transition. I did some research and found out what he needs to officially graduate high school and have the right classes for college admissions. I have taken the same approach that I have taken for our entire homeschool adventure. I just see what the next step is and take them there.

God has blessed us with the ability to homeschool our boys. I am so thankful for that.
