ACTÍVA Products Review

Updated: 4 days ago

Who of you have children who like to do art projects, but you don't? (Raises hand high) Don't get me wrong. I like to be creative and do projects, but my idea of art and my 8 year old's idea of art are two different things. My idea of art for my 8 year old is to color a few pictures. His idea is to get down and dirty (messy is more like it). He loves projects with multiple steps where I like to start and finish in one sitting. That's where ACTÍVA Products Rigid Wrap and CelluClay Quik-Sculpting Kit come in. ACTÍVA Products really made it easier for me and my 8 year old to meet in the middle with art.

Here's how we started. First, we looked through the ACTÍVA Products' Favorite Sculpture KIDS CRAFTS ebook for ideas. We looked through the spider, mask, piece of cake (yes, you heard that right), and the peppermint bowl. We (he) decided on the dinosaur. I know, that was a HUGE surprise, right? I love that they gave such detailed directions on how to go about making it as well as a printable template to work off of - Awesome! I thought that I was going to have to find one on the internet, but they already had one.

So we traced the dinosaur template onto cardboard and cut it out.

Then we mixed up a small batch of the CelluClay. This was so easy! All I had to do was put some of the CelluClay powder into a sandwich sized plastic bag. Then I added a little water. Then all he had to do was smash it all together! Voila! We had clay.

Following the directions in the ACTÍVA Products' Favorite Sculpture KIDS CRAFTS ebook, he used the CelluClay to cover the cardboard dinosaur.

Then he colored it using his markers. The dinosaurs were blue, right?

So that was done and it really wasn't bad, so I was ready for another project. What's a dinosaur without a volcano? This time we used the Rigid Wrap to create this one.

Here's all we needed: something to cover the table, a package of Rigid Wrap, a bowl of water, a cup, and a pair of scissors. My role was to cut the Rigid Wrap to the size that he needed and he did the rest! I love those types of projects! It was so easy to use! All he had to do was dip the Rigid Wrap into the bowl of water, rub it a little bit to get the excess water off, and then just put it on the cup. It worked so great!

He covered the cup so that could be our volcano and then he made an entire landscape.

I thought that it turned out pretty well, don't you? Once It was all dry, all he had to do was color it.

Here is what they both looked like when he was done. We, of course, added a few Lego people and toys to make it "real" (this was his father's idea, lol).

Now, you can't go and make a volcano without actually making the volcano erupt, right? So we headed on over to Grandma Edie and Grandpa Ed's home so everyone could enjoy it. We even made a video of it erupting!

I really like ACTÍVA Products Rigid Wrap and CelluClay Quik-Sculpting Kit. There was A LOT of material in the box that we received. We have plenty more for further projects! I will have to come up with some projects to go along with his schooling this year so we can use it!

There were plenty of other wonderful reviewers of this same product! Click on the picture below to read all about how they used ACTÍVA Products.
